Here's something I just learned and we'll probably never use again. Top of the 11th, full count, two outs, bases are loaded, but really the important one here is the runner on third. So, the runner on third is going to attempt to steal home while the pitcher is in his pitch. So, the pitcher throws home. The batter is not even in the box at this point. He throws home, hits the runner in the head. What's the call? Well, this sum just says, "Hey, let's redo that. I don't know what happened. Not sure what to do. Let's just redo it." They send the runner back. The rules dictate that it should either be considered a ball or a strike regardless of the runner, regardless of the batter stepping out of the box. So, personally, it looks like it should have been a strike to me, which would have ended the inning.
