My son was pitching, and I was batting. One day, I was just hitting them all ball by ball, b by b by b so he stops and he goes, "Dad, can you stop hitting them all the the kids won't be hitting them all like that." I said, "Nope, you can't control what the batter does. All you can do is throw your strikes." Now, one thing I know about my son is he's really tough on himself. He lets up one walk, two walks, you know, all a sudden he just falls apart. I think sometimes kids need to be coddled, and sometimes they need tough love.
